Endowments are permanent funds set up to provide yearly scholarship distributions from a portion of the
earned investment income, while never expending any of the original gift principal. An endowment fund is
typically named to remember the donor or someone of the donor's choice. The original gift of $10,000 or
more is placed into an investment account separate from other Lacrosse Dollars for Scholars investments.
It is invested conservatively and monitored monthly by the investment committee.

Auction Items

A fundraiser auction is held biennially (in odd years) during the Lacrosse Farmers' Festival. Donated items
(everything from permission to hunt on your property to that not-your-taste gift you received for Christmas
last year, from tickets to the symphony to your handmade arts and craft items) will gladly be accepted. For
more information about the 2007 auction, visit our Auction FAQs.
